About Jacqui Skelton-Norrish

I am Jacqui Skelton-Norrish I offer tailor made dog training services.

I have owned dogs all of my life and have always been passionate about their welfare, happiness, care and enrichment.

I started taking dog training to a completely different level when I bought my first Cocker Spaniel puppy to be trained as a gundog.

Background

I undertook several years of very advanced training which resulted in my first gundog – Treacle being trained to a very high level of obedience and able to carry out very precise, directional instructions.

The pleasure and pride in seeing how your dog flourishes and enjoys the interaction when it is done in a compassionate, positive and happy way is incredible.

Twenty years on I have six  well trained, happy and content dogs.

The more I have learned and developed my training techniques over the years, the more I have wanted to pass this knowledge on to others that have needed help in all areas of their training.

Ethos

I believe that all training should be positive with no force used. Dogs naturally love us and want to please. They need clear guidelines and consistency from us.

Whilst training our dogs is imperative, it is also important to train owners how to train thier dogs. This creates the perfect balance. Happy dogs and happy owners.

I have helped many, many clients achieve their goals in understanding their dogs behaviour and enabling them to learn how to train their dog.

Giving owners the tools to help their dogs engage and become happy,  results in well behaved dogs that are a joy to own.

I now have regular clients that are prepared to travel from all over the UK for the training I provide.

Location

I train in a secure ground just a few miles from Lynton and Lynmouth, North Devon.

Approach

All one to one training is tailored to you and your dog’s individual needs, taking into consideration the dog’s history, breed characteristics, emotional characteristics and your own personality, constraints, abilities and requirements.

It may be that you need help in your home environment. If this is the case I can arrange a home visit, where your dog will be assessed and a bespoke training package put in place with continued support available.
