Rescue Dog Training

I have completed in-depth training with an incredible man that studied wolves. This enables him to communicate with dogs in a way that they understand.

This has enabled me to help in the rehabilitation of dogs suffering from anxiety, reactiveness and behaviour problems.

Behaviour and emotional problems

I will identify any behaviour and emotional problems and teach you the best way to help your new rescue dog resolve these.

Quite often rescue dogs have received little or no training. We start at the very beginning if necessary. We will focus on the basics and will build a secure relationship between you and your dog.

Understanding pack behaviour

Understanding how dogs behave as part of a pack and communicate with each other is key to us communicating with them in a way that they understand.  This can have a positive and instant impact on a dog’s behaviour.

Owners are taught the technique and learn what each step means to the dog.  Once you have a clear understanding and can use the technique in the correct way (based on Horse whispering techniques) you will have a better understanding on how to communicate with your dog. This enables a better relationship, a deeper understanding of your dog’s behaviour and why they may have a problem with anxiety, fear, aggression or reactiveness.

This technique has been proven to work time and time again.  In most cases certain behaviours disappear altogether, but it always helps the dog to be happier and more secure.

My own pack often help me with this work.

Dog owners leave at the end of the lesson, not only having a better understanding about their dogs emotions, but the ability to help them.

Owners feel confident once the technique has been put to the test by their dogs’ interaction with my own dogs, owners are always amazed at the results.

How it works

We’ll have an indepth initial call to ensure that I am right for you.

During your lesson we will identify what we need to focus on first.

We will make a plan based on you and your dog’s needs and your specific training requirements.

Following your lesson, I ask you to put your training into practice for 3-4 weeks.  This embeds the training that we covered before returning for your next lesson.

If practice has gone well, we will then be ready to build upon your knowledge and advance at your next lesson.

I offer support during practice weeks if you need advice.

After each lesson I email you an individual plan to help you to remember all details that we covered during the lesson.  The plan also includes directions on how to achieve the different points.

We also video certain techniques to help you get it right at home. I find this helps owners to relax in the lesson and focus on the here and now.
